BACK BAY GRILL NAMED
PORTLAND’S
MOST
ROMANTIC
RESTAURANT
IN
PORTLAND
PHOENIX
Celebrate
with Bellamy Jazz Trio on Thursday, May 18
PORTLAND,
Maine – Back Bay Grill enters spring with
two great things to celebrate -- the honor of being named
Portland’s Most Romantic
Restaurant in the Portland Phoenix and significant recent kitchen
renovations. On Thursday, May 18 Back Bay Grill invites everyone to join a
celebration beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the Bellamy Jazz Trio.
This year, spring cleaning took
on a new meaning at Back Bay Grill – back in February and March, Chef/Owner
Larry Matthews Jr. traded in his
chef coat for a work belt and transformed his dated kitchen into a
streamlined stainless steel and white tile kitchen. The net result of
Matthews’ crafty work was two-fold: a mini vacation from the kitchen and a
significantly improved workspace that is better suited to
Back Bay’s historic fine-dining
experience. Matthews called the kitchen enlargement and equipment upgrades
“long overdue,” explaining that “this exciting update and these improvements
add to the essence of the Grill.”
Back Bay Grill’s kitchen
renovation features an expanded preparation area and offers better
functionality in the dishwashing and storage areas. Of particular interest,
a new counter space has been added to the kitchen area which will double as
a dining area. Guests are invited to sit on bar stools and enjoy a literal
font row seat in the kitchen.
On Thursday, May 18 Back Bay
Grill will celebrate spring, its new kitchen and being honored with the
selection as
Portland’s Most Romantic
Restaurant, with an evening of fun music with Bellamy Jazz Trio and
specialty appetizers and cocktails.
